Ruchi Ramann

Ruchi is a Senior Advisor at EPIC World and a Venture Partner at Elevar Equity. She brings over 25 years of experience in banking and financial services, with a deep focus on governance and customer-centricity. Ruchi’s commitment to understanding the lives of Entrepreneurial Households, combined with her extensive experience in financial services and consulting, makes her a vital part of EPIC World’s strategic initiatives. She leverages her expertise to provide unbiased customer insights that drive portfolio management and establish best practices and systems around governance, customer protection, and impact measurement and management. 

Ruchi has held several senior roles across leading financial institutions including HSBC, Standard Chartered and ANZ Grindlays in India, the UK and Australia. Her diverse experience spans Corporate and Institutional Banking, Commercial Banking and Private Banking, with significant contributions in sales, risk and project management. Notably, in her last role, she served as Country COO for HSBC Commercial Banking in India.

Her passion for financial inclusion and livelihood-related initiatives led her to transition out of traditional banking. Since then, she has consulted for various for-profit and not-for-profit organizations including Jana Foundation where she focused on financial literacy, distribution, and skilling projects for the extensive client base of the group’s lending arm. These experiences deeply resonated with Elevar’s customer-led investment thesis, prompting her to join the team.

She holds a BA in Economics (Honors) from Lady Shriram College, Delhi, and an MBA from the Faculty of Management Studies, Delhi. Ruchi is also a trained PCC-level coach.
