Taeyoung Kim

Tae is Senior Director, Financial Products at EPIC World. Tae brings global expertise and a proven track record in emerging markets to the EPIC World team. 

Tae’s work experience across the Global South has afforded her a first-hand view of the ambition and savviness of Entrepreneurial Households - from smallholder dairy farmers in Morocco to kirana store owners in India and micro-distributors in Indonesia. EPIC articulated her experiences throughout her travels, and she is part of the team translating this mission into channeling capital to build 50+ blue chip companies for Entrepreneurial Households. 

She brings over fifteen years of strategy and corporate development experience across multiple sectors. Prior to joining EPIC, she was part of the Asia, Middle East, and Africa (AMEA) Zone leadership team of multinational FMCG company Danone, where she led strategy and business development. Prior to Danone she had senior strategy and corporate development positions in large MNCs such as Amcor, Ingredion and SK Group covering Asia Pacific and beyond. 

Tae is South Korean but grew up in Australia and New Zealand. She has lived and worked all over the world, having had bases in Korea, China, France, Switzerland, Hong Kong, and Singapore. She has an undergraduate degree in Commerce from the University of Auckland, and an MBA from INSEAD.
