Skanda Jayaraman

Skanda Jayaraman is an Entrepreneur in Residence at EPIC World. He is a seasoned leader in the financial services industry with over two decades of experience. Skanda’s blend of financial acumen and entrepreneurial track record makes him a strong leader of EPIC World’s growth strategy, aiming to scale organizations through the timely and optimal infusion of capital, insights, and expertise.

Skanda’s diverse experience has earned him the trust of many marquee founders and investors alike, and he currently serves as an advisor to select boards - including a Pre-IPO private equity fund (as a member of the Investment Recommendation Committee). As an investment banker, he has personally led ~$2 Bn worth of deals across private equity syndication, mergers and acquisitions, and capital markets. Skanda has an impressive track record of transforming organizations, growing a small boutique investment bank into a national player (7x revenue growth in 6 years), and building a disruptive digital platform for secondary private market trades.

He started his career as a lender, which gave him valuable insights into credit scoring models and appraisal systems. Skanda went on to apply his knowledge of risk management to retail, commercial and investment banking portfolios across India and Southeast Asia. He received his Bachelors degree in Electrical and Electronics Engineering from the University of Madras and his Master's in Industrial and Financial Engineering from Michigan University.
